Overview of Mountain temperatures June - October

June - Lovely month, temps are wonderful - 70's - 80's, summer activities are beginning.

July - Warmer temps - 70's, 80's, 90's - fans necessary for a couple of weeks. Monsoons approaching. Lot's of summer activities.

Aug - A delightful month. Cooler temps, monsoon showers usually in afternoon. Plan activities before 2:00 pm and then come back and enjoy inclement weather. Bring sweatshirts for evenings.

Sept - A Special Month - end of summer and very beginning of the change of seasons. Masses of Wild Blackeyed Susan's blooming all over the mountain. Nights are getting nippy. Don't forget your sweatshirt.

Oct - Fall Foliage. Temps are wonderful - days are warmish and nights are nippy. Time for a hike or drive to higher elevations to view the Aspens changing. Stop along the way for lunch. Return and enjoy a quiet evening in front of a fire.
